Hot cheeto custard tart, red lentil spaghetti figure 8
I had to bring back the cheeto cornbread joy so took a snack pack of hot cheetos, crushed and steeped in milk until hot pink, strained and cooked into a custard with an egg and cornstarch. Piped into mini shells from the office that didn’t end up getting used after a year. Bake briefly to reheat
Red lentil spaghetti boiled and then tied into a figure 8 in the middle. Hold both ends of the strands and dip the figure 8 perpendicularly into hot oil to fry and set the shape. Snip the hand holds off and store in a jar to dust with more hot cheeto powder until ready to serve
